Director of National Title Services, Vice President & Senior Underwriting Counsel

Sam Shiel holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Manitoba and a Juris Doctor from the University of North Dakota School of Law. He is a member of the Executive Committee of Stewart Title Guaranty Company. Prior to joining Madison, he was Vice President and Counsel for Stewart Title's National Title Service department.

Debra Smith, Esq.

General Counsel

Debra Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts from The New School and her Juris Doctor from NYU School of Law. She is an active member of the NY State Bar, NYU Law School Alumni Board, and the NYS Land Title Association. Before joining Madison, Ms. Smith served as SVP of Fidelity National Financial.

As the Director of Title Services at Madison, Miriam Stern oversees national operations with a wealth of experience dating back to 1996. Ms. Stern is an accomplished industry veteran, bringing deep expertise in compliance, legal, and underwriting practices to every transaction.

Controller

Charles Celnik is the Controller at Madison Title, overseeing the company's accounting and finance functions. Mr. Celnik holds an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Rutgers University. His prior tenure at Ernst & Young, LLP equipped him with extensive experience in tax structures for multi-state companies and audits for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

Eli Young oversees workflow of residential title operations, while managing relationships with multiple underwriters. Before joining Madison Title Agency, Mr. Young was Director of Operations for Princeton Title Agency.
